EUGENE, Ore. -- The Ducks (2-0-0) were back in Eugene on Friday night to take on a competitive Pac-8 opponent in San Diego State. A penalty-filled game gave the Aztecs some hope but the Ducks would prevail winning 4-3.

Connor Rendell would get the lone goal in the 1st, deflecting an Austin Pultz shot from the point to make it 1-0 (13:19).

In the 2nd, Jack Geraghty made it 2-0, taking the puck to the net and finishing it top shelf on his backhand (17:51). This is Geraghty’s first of the season after recording 4 assists vs Cal.

SDSU would find themselves on a 5 on 3 midway through the 2nd. The Aztecs took advantage, scoring on the 5 on 3 and again just 32 seconds later on the 5 on 4 to tie the game at 2 (8:22) & (7:50).

The Ducks took the lead right back before the 3rd to make it 3-2 (3:32).
