Ducks Hockey To Play First Ever Conference Game in Medford, OR

By: Nathan Garcia

On Saturday, November 2nd The Oregon Ducks Men's Hockey Team will travel to Medford, Oregon to face off in what promises to be an intense game against rivals Cal Berkeley. The game time will be at 7:00 PM and tickets and apparel will be sold at the door!

Both of these clubs know each other very well, as they last met back in February, facing off in the 2018-2019 PAC-8 conference championship game. Each team fought hard knowing what was on the line, but it was Oregon who came out victorious, shutting out Berkeley 3-0 to win their first championship since 2009.

The emotional result for both teams sets the stage for what will no doubt be a physical back and forth rematch between two of the premier club college hockey teams on the west coast. The puck will drop at 7 PM at the RRRink in Medford.

The Ducks look stronger than ever, sweeping The University of Washington at home and then going on a 3-0 road trip in Eastern Washington. After a bye week, the Ducks flew cross-country to take on defending back-to-back National Champions Florida Gulf Coast University. The Ducks split that weekend, losing the first game and winning the second game. The Bears are off to a 3-4 start and are looking for a big win against the red-hot Ducks.

The Ducks first game in the weekend series versus Cal will be at the Rink Exchange on Friday, November 1st at 8:30 PM before heading down to Medford for Saturday's game at 7:00 PM. The Ducks are looking forward to showcasing their team to more than just the local Eugene fan base and are especially excited to play in front of the passionate fans that Medford is known to have.

The more Duck fans in attendance the better, so come cheer on the team to help us get a pivotal 4 points in the PAC-8 standings. If you’re new to the Ducks but you enjoy watching The Southern Oregon Spartans Junior hockey team play in Medford this game will be right up your alley.

Gates open at 6pm. Tickets can be purchased at the door for $10 General Admission. UO
students (with valid ID), seniors, and veterans get in half price. We accept cash or card.

Go Ducks!
