The Ducks to Kick Off the New Year in Medford!

By: Nathan Garcia

EUGENE - The Oregon Ducks Hockey club is back in action this weekend, facing off against San Jose State January 10th and 11th at The RRRink in Medford Oregon.

2019 was one to remember for The Oregon Ducks Hockey Club. After winning the PAC-8 Championship in February, a team full of returning players and new young stars are determined to defend their title in 2020. Oregon is off to one of their best starts in school history, going 13-1-0-1 during the first half of the season.

The last time the Ducks came to Medford, a sea of green took over the bleachers, rallying the team to help knock off Cal Berkeley in a close 4-2 game. With another competitive PAC-8 opponent coming to town, we are looking to hear the “O” chant once again to help us stay undefeated at home.

The Ducks are not only making their name known throughout the PAC-8 but across the United States this season. With a nearly undefeated record and a big win against the defending National Champions in Florida, the Ducks are ranked 5th in the West Region of the American Collegiate Hockey Association.

The Ducks famous green sweaters were also recently ranked the number one jersey in club college hockey by ESPN. These jerseys, along with our new white jerseys, will be for sale in Medford, along with a beer garden, food, and music.

Puck Drop on Friday the 10th is at 7 PM and 6 PM on Saturday the 11th. Tickets can be purchased at the door for $15 General Admission (cash only). Students and military get in for $5!

We are excited to be back in Medford and can’t wait for another great weekend! Go Ducks!
